The Tapered Collection
a compact furniture collection comprising a coffee table, desk, and set of side tables.
The Tapered coffee table draws its inspiration from the focus on chamfers of different variations and scale. This was inspired by the works of Jean Prouve. The design development was driven by the steel bar component and the end design was chosen for the fact the steel bar is perpendicular to the ground, utilising the strength of the material.
The Tapered Coffee Table is self produced from Birch-faced Plywood, Solid Ash, standardised fixings, Steel flat bar and furniture Linoleum.
